Why use Clean Water Tab® to winterise your pool?

* For a pool that is clean and balanced to begin with, properly prepared for winter, with a quantity of Clean Water Tab® suited to its volume and used in line with Novpool’s recommendations. In the event of anything unusual affecting the pool, or if your equipment is underperforming, check the water and adjust if needed.
Active winterising
Place the recommended quantity of Clean Water Tab® in the skimmer or balance tank. The tablet stays submerged throughout the winter.
Passive winterising
Break the tablet into several pieces and spread them directly in the pool. Some will sink, others will float.

Place the recommended quantity of Clean Water Tab® in the skimmer or balance tank. The tablet stays submerged while the filtration runs.
After the first two weeks, you can gradually add sanitiser less often. Over winter, no further additions should be needed as long as the water quality remains satisfactory.
With automatic Redox/ORP control, the salt chlorinator adjusts its chlorine output to the condition of the water and can reduce it without you changing any settings. Without this control, adjust the output based on your test results.

Can I use it before winterising?
Yes.
Clean Water Tab® can be added while you prepare your pool for winter.
That way, you start using it while your water is still clean and balanced.
Do I need to keep adding products over winter?
No.
Throughout the winter, Clean Water Tab® helps your pool keep its water quality without the need to add other products, provided the pool has been properly prepared for winter and the usage recommendations are followed.
Do I need a new tablet in spring?
When you reopen the pool, you can keep using Clean Water Tab® to look after it through the season.

How does Clean Water Tab® work?
Clean Water Tab® is inspired by the natural mechanisms that help keep water in balance.
Placed in the skimmer, its mineral structure provides a surface for colonisation and supports the activity of the beneficial micro-organisms naturally present in your pool.
These micro-organisms help break down the organic matter behind many imbalances.
The result: clearer, more stable water that is easier to look after, without changing your equipment.
When will I see the first results?
Clean Water Tab® starts working gradually once submerged.
Its biological activation usually takes place over 3 to 10 days. Depending on the initial water quality, the first benefits may appear gradually, over up to several weeks.
Improvements in clarity, stability and comfort depend in particular on your pool’s conditions and how it is maintained.

2. Dosage and use
How many tablets should I order for my pool?
The quantity depends on your pool’s volume and the duration you want.
- Summer · 3 months: 1 tablet per 40 m³, i.e. €25/month.
- Summer · 6 months: 1 tablet per 20 m³, i.e. €12.50/month.
- Winter · 6 months: 1 tablet per 60 m³, i.e. €12.50/month.
For other volumes, adjust the quantity. The tablet can be split in half or into quarters, and unused portions can be kept for next time.

How long does a tablet last?
A single application looks after your pool for 3 or 6 months, depending on the water volume and the period chosen.
The tablet gradually lightens in contact with the water, but does not disappear. Once activated, it must stay submerged.
Before use, store it somewhere dry, away from moisture, light and heat. No expiry date is stated when stored as recommended.
How do I install Clean Water Tab®? Is it compatible with my pool?
Installation is simple: place the recommended quantity in the skimmer or balance tank, in water whose parameters are properly balanced.
No changes to your equipment are needed.
Clean Water Tab® is compatible with the main filtration systems and with pools treated with chlorine, bromine or salt chlorination.
It can also be used with some UV or ozone systems, depending on your setup.

Can I use Clean Water Tab® over winter?
Yes. Clean Water Tab® also looks after your pool water during winter, whether active or passive winterising, with no installation temperature requirement.
For a 6-month winter, the recommended dosage is one tablet per 60 m³.
For active winterising, place it in the skimmer or balance tank. For passive winterising, spread the tablet pieces directly in the pool, following the instructions for use.
It helps preserve water quality over winter and makes reopening in spring simpler.

3. Compatibility and peace of mind
Does Clean Water Tab® replace chlorine, bromine or salt?
No. Clean Water Tab® is a complementary solution, compatible with chlorine, bromine and salt chlorination systems.
By improving water quality and stability, it can help reduce the need for corrective products and, depending on the pool’s conditions, sanitiser consumption.
You keep maintaining the sanitiser levels recommended for your pool.
The aim: more pleasant water and simpler upkeep, without changing your treatment system.
Do I still need to check the pH?
Yes. Even though Clean Water Tab® helps improve water stability, it is still important to check the pH regularly and adjust it if needed.
With better-balanced water, corrective action may be needed less often.
I use multifunction tablets, algaecides or clarifiers. Is that compatible?
Clean Water Tab® works best with a plain sanitiser, without regular additions of flocculants, clarifiers or algaecides.
If you currently use these products, we recommend stopping them before installing the tablet, allowing enough time for the previous treatments to clear.
Occasional corrective treatments are still possible when the water condition requires it, with the appropriate precautions.

Can I shock the pool?
Yes. Temporarily remove Clean Water Tab® and keep it submerged in a container filled with water from your pool.
Carry out your shock treatment, then put the tablet back after 24 hours, once the water parameters have returned to suitable levels.
Based on customer experience, the water can regain its balance up to twice as fast after a shock treatment, depending on the pool’s conditions.
Is it safe for my family and pets?
Clean Water Tab® has undergone safety testing by accredited international laboratories, confirming it is non-toxic under the conditions assessed.
The tablet is designed to stay in the skimmer or balance tank, with no direct contact with swimmers.
However, it does not replace monitoring the water’s sanitary quality or appropriate disinfection.
Keep the tablet out of reach of children and pets, do not swallow it, and rinse your hands after handling.
